The ultra-compact BEAM XPRESSi automotive router offers out-of-the-box connectivity with minimal configuration. With 4G/LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi and GNSS the BEAM XPRESSi is an impressive internet and location tracking solution for road vehicles, small pleasure craft, and canal barges alike.
This is a professional commercial-grade device NOT to be compared with cheap “Mi-Fi” devices or dongles (which offer low performance, basic features and just a handful of users). The BEAM XPRESSi hardware is e-mark certified which means it’s approved for safe vehicle use and can be installed as a factory-fitted device, with antennas connected securely and reliably using the FAKRA connectors.

Designed for cars, taxis, minibuses, motorhomes, boats and commercial vehicles, the BEAM XPRESSi can connect onboard systems and passengers via Wi-Fi to the internet. The built-in GNSS/GPS receiver offers live vehicle tracking, ideal for managing your fleet and enabling real-time passenger information or location-based advertising. The wide voltage range means the BEAM XPRESSi can be connected to either 12V or 24V vehicle power sources using the compact Molex-style connector.
Ultra-flexible mobile internet WiFi
The BEAM XPRESSi is pre-configured and ready to go out-of-the-box for most applications, and with its simple set-up wizard you’ll be connected to the Internet within minutes after popping in your SIM card.
The comprehensive Web-based administration interface allows you to manage every aspect of the system, including hotspot portal branding and customisation, site black-listing and data usage limits – important when providing Wi-Fi services for your customers and passengers. It can also, connect to external RADIUS servers such as Hotspot System or Purple Wi-Fi allowing you to charge for, and control, Internet access if required.
You cannot do all, if any, of this with a cheaper Mi-Fi dongle, and this device takes you to a professional level of in-vehicle connectivity.
Fully open-source and customisable
The BEAM XPRESSi BeamOS-R operating system based on the OpenWRT Linux OS provides a fully open system allowing you to install your own applications, build management pages or customise the firmware to your own requirements.
