HOW TO – Access the BeamOS Admin Panel (xSeries)
BEAM xSeries devices have a comprehensive Web-based Admin Panel (WebUI) to allow you set-up or change the configuration of virtually any aspect of your device.
This article assumes that you have already set up your device previously by following the steps in the Quick Start Guide that came with your unit. If you haven’t, then please read the Quick Start Guide for your particular device. The guide shows you how to connect to and set-up your device for the first time.
To access the Admin Panel you will need to connect to the device, either via the Wireless Network or by connecting your computer to one of the devices LAN ports using a network cable.
Login to the Device
To enter the router’s Web interface (WebUI), type http://192.168.42.1 into the URL field of your Internet browser. Note that if you have previously changed the IP address of the router, then use that address instead.
When the Login page has loaded, login with the username admin and the password that was originally set when you first set-up the device. (The factory default is admin01).
Once you have logged in, you should be presented with the System Overview page and you can configure your device as required.
If you have never logged in before, then you will be required to change the default password, and you will be taken through the Setup Wizard.
